Voices of the First World War: community projects from Birmingham and the Midlands
Discover new and untold World War One stories through film, images, poetry and print. November 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the armistice of the Great War, a global event that had raged from August 1914, resulting in mass numbers of casualties but also many changes in society. To mark the centenary of the end of hostilities on 11 November 1918, the Voices of War and Peace WW1 Engagement Centre and the Library of Birmingham have organised this exhibition featuring work produced by regional community organisations since the commemorations began in August 2014.
