About the park

An open expanse of grassland, Gressel Lane Recreation Ground is part of a green corridor that connects with a network of other biodiverse areas. These form the Kingfisher project, which was set up with the aim of preserving the River Cole valley.

The recreation ground is crossed by the River Cole and has Babbs Mill Lake at its northern edge.
