Covid-19 (coronavirus) update

Due to COVID-19, visitors to cemeteries are reminded that they will still need to practice social distancing in-line with government guidelines.

There is no restriction on the number of mourners at outdoor funerals. This does not apply to memorial services and burial/scatterings of cremated remains.

Mourners that are self-isolating may attend funerals but must maintain 2 metres social distance.

The Prime Minister has now confirmed that England is moving to Plan B following the rapid spread of the Omicron variant in the UK.

Due to Plan B being enforced across England, from 10 December 2021, it will be mandatory to wear a face covering in all of our buildings, including burial ground chapels, crematoria chapels and reception areas.

More Information on the use of face coverings can be found on the government website.
