About the school

We are an inclusive happy school and are proud of our school and of our diverse school community. We have achieved our Gold Unicef Rights Respecting School Award and a respect for children’s rights threads through our work.
Both staff and governors are committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for all our children and we achieved a judgment of Outstanding at our last Ofsted inspection in December 2019. Our staff of highly experienced teachers and teaching assistants work together to provide an exciting range of learning opportunities that engage children of all needs and abilities and encourage them to become confident and independent learners.

Specific requirements for this school

An understanding of the EYFS would be beneficial, but not necessary.

Day and times of most meetings

All meetings take place on a Thursday, between 9:30am and 11:00am. We have three meetings per term.

The time commitment
Approximately 10 days per year spent attending meetings, visiting the school from time-to-time and undertaking relevant training.
Why volunteer?

Volunteering as a School Governor is a great opportunity to gain leadership experience at board level as well as transferable skills that enhance performance and employability. Most of all, you will have the satisfaction of making a real difference to children’s lives and helping them to realise their potential.

We would love to hear from you.
