We are seeking a maths tutor who would relish the challenge of stretching each individual student in both their academic potential and their use of maths to support independent living skills.  Students are working towards a variety of qualifications from pre entry level, through to GCSE. This is an opportunity to support individuals who are committed to improving their mathematical skills and furthering their own learning. QAC have small class sizes that are generally supported by a Learning Support Assistant(s).

While teaching experience of students with EHC plans is desirable this should not detract new entrants to the profession with SEN as a prime interest from applying.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage the curriculum through preparation, research, liaison with colleagues and relevant agencies and management of resources, whilst being able to promote the aims and ethos of the College both within the teaching and learning context and within the corporate life of the College.

The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of a curriculum which is appropriate to learner needs and conforms to the requirements of examination boards (if required) and funding agencies. Deliver, plan and assess the curriculum in an innovative, responsible and flexible manner using a highly individualised approach in collaboration with the Curriculum Area Manager. Plan, assess and record the individual achievements of each learner against Individual Learning Plans, EHCP Plans and in accordance with RARPA robust quality processes and funding agency criteria.
