Welcome Princethorpe Junior School

Published: Tuesday, 21st March 2017

Princethorpe Junior School visited City Kitchen Live on 27th February.

Executive Development Chef Wayne Edge and the team discussed the importance of fruit and water in the students’ diets and encouraged them to taste a variety of fruits, which included dragon fruit, star fruit, mango and berries. For some of the children it was the first time they have tasted these delights!

The children were divided into two teams in a bid to make the tastiest smoothie. They had great fun adding fruit, honey, yogurt and milk to their recipes – they were amazed at how easy they were to make! They then enjoyed preparing their pizza dough and toppings for lunch. Stuffed crust pizza was a popular choice!

Lunch was eaten in the Boardroom and the children discussed their favourite school lunch at school. Roast dinner and pizza day were firm favourites.
A great and very educational day was had by all!  Their teacher, Claire Curzon-Sturdy said:

“Thank you to you and your team, for an amazing day yesterday, we all thoroughly enjoyed it,”

We thoroughly enjoyed welcoming the Princethorpe Junior School ambassadors!
