National Roast Dinner Day Highlights

On Wednesday 15th November – we saw Birmingham go wild for Roast Dinner Day as part of National School Meals Week.

Across Cityserve’s 200+ Schools we prepared, cooked and served up the following amount of food to create some amazing Roast Dinners;

  • 249KG of Peas

  • 157KG of Carrots

  • 65KG of broccoli

  • 20KG Cauliflower

  • 400KG Potatoes

  • 37KG Cabbage

  • 150KG of Turkey/chicken/beef/gammon/pork/lamb

CityKitchen Live hosted Watermill Primary for the day where students learnt all about the provenance of the food from their Roast Dinner, healthy eating and then learnt how to make their own followed by dining on their Roast’s.
