This update includes the updated risk assessment for schools as well as the updated model safeguarding policy.
Risk assessment for schools
The risk assessment for schools has been updated to take account of the latest government guidance that comes into effect from 19th July. The risk assessment is available at this link.
As confirmed last week we recommend that schools continue with their current arrangements until the end of term.
Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy for Schools: September 2021
The Birmingham Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy has been updated to consider the new developments in legislation and statutory guidance documents (Working together to safeguard children as updated in December 2020 and the latest version of Keeping Children Safe in Education 2021).
The updated policy has also introduced a new Part 3 Quality Assurance, Learning from Cases and Continuous Improvement.
