Update for schools: 14 January 2021

Edenred vouchers: Birmingham Christmas allocation

Schools will be aware that the council used Edenred for vouchers for the Christmas period. To avoid confusion with the national scheme announced yesterday, schools’ accounts on the Birmingham Edenred site will now be disabled.

When we disable your Birmingham City Council Edenred account, you will receive an automated email from Edenred informing you of this. This will come separately from the email from Edenred regarding the new national scheme.

Once your account has been disabled, if you still have outstanding transactions on the Christmas holiday Birmingham Edenred system, please contact us on educationdata@birmingham.gov.uk

Risk assessments

Schools should continue to use their risk assessment updating them in the context of the latest national lockdown. There is no need to submit the updated version to BCC.

We are aware that some schools have questions about their risk assessments and will be holding a webinar next week where these issues can be discussed with colleagues from Safety Services and Education Infrastructure. We will share the date and time of the webinar with you as soon as possible and will ensure the webinar is recorded so that those unable to attend can access it.

In the meantime, if you would like support with your risk assessment please contact edsi.enquiries@birmingham.gov.uk and an officer will contact you.
