Covid-19 Time Capsule Project from the Library of Birmingham

2020 is certainly set to change our lives and the world around us

Time capsule

This Covid-19 Time Capsule Project is aimed at helping us all, young and old, process these interesting times. We would love to know how you and your family have been spending lockdown and are hoping to gather a digital and physical collection so that in years to come, we can all reflect.

Get all the family involved in being creative, then please:

  • Photograph your artwork, lockdown projects, handprints, journal entries and email them to us
  • If using our template, you can simply edit, save and attach to an email
  • Include the artist’s name, age and first part of your postcode e.g. B19
  • Add the contact details for the person that we can contact for physical exhibition purposes
  • Keep all original artwork safe—we will need this later for the exhibition

Time Capsule

Naturally, we are committed to safeguarding your privacy. All information collected is kept confidential, held securely, and used for the development and improvement of our services. It is not retained for longer than needed, unless there is a legal requirement. For more information, visit Birmingham City Council’s privacy policy page.

We would like to thank you in advance for your contributions. You will help us to document a phenomenally world-changing event and make an incredible celebration of our Birmingham and West Midlands community spirit.
