Tonight the facade of the Library of Birmingham will be lit up in Red to commemorate Armistice Day.

Earlier in the day the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Cllr Mohammed Azim, will lead a two-minute silence at the Hall of Memory at 11am to honour all those who have given their lives in conflict.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
