Initial report

Loading...A 30 inch Severn Trent mains water pipe has burst on Wheeler Street in Lozells. Up to 30 properties have flooded including the Burbury Park Recreation Centre and 10-15,000 properties are without water supply. The Birmingham Resilience Team are on site alongside the emergency services, Western Power, Cadent and Severn Trent to provide support to residents and to assess the impact to the local community.

Severn Trent are anticipating water supply to be back on by 3pm but the pipe is unlikely to be repaired before Friday 30 November; the road will, therefore, be closed until at least Wednesday.
