Further to yesterday’s update, HS2’s surveyors have now re-assessed the former Fox and Grapes public house on Park Street and concluded that although the structure needs to be demolished in the near future, there is no risk of imminent collapse.

They have therefore postponed the closure of Park Street planned for tonight.

We still expect this to happen soon, and will update you as soon as we have a revised date.
