Birmingham Connected Extra - Bike Month - June 2021

June is Bike Month!

Bike month! – June 2021

June is Bike Month and there’s never been a better time to enjoy all the benefits of riding a bike.

We'd like to invite you to sign up yourself, your friends, your family or your workplace and get your teams enjoying riding a bike. There are prizes to be won by taking part too, even brand new bikes!

Here are some great reasons to spread the word about Bike Month today:

  • It’s FREE – Bike Month is a free, fun and engaging programme that will help you or your business achieve health, wellness and sustainability goals.
  • If you haven't ridden in years, don't worry! You only have to ride a bike for 10 minutes for your participation to count towards your team's score. Ride anywhere, anytime during June (doesn't have to be a trip to work!)
  • If you already ride - you know how enjoyable riding is and how good it makes you feel. So, here's your chance to get your workmates to experience how easy and enjoyable riding can be.
  • Love to Ride will give you all the help you need to get back on your bike or cycle more often. You can also set goals, track your progress, and get advice on everything from where to ride, riding with kids and commuting to work.

Get involved, it only takes 30 seconds to register. Go to Love to Ride West Midlands and click 'Register' at the top of the page.

Don’t forget Birmingham’s Clean Air Zone launches on 1 June – choosing to cycle a few times a week, instead of using your car, is a great way to help make the air cleaner for everyone.

Thanks for helping get more people riding bikes!
