Due to a failed drain cover on the exit slip from the A38(M) Aston Expressway south onto Dartmouth Circus, the usual tidal traffic flow will not be working during this evening’s rush hour. The A38(M) will operate with three lanes towards the city centre a
This means a reduction in the capacity for traffic travelling north, away from the city centre.
We expect this to cause delays to traffic using this route, including some buses towards Sutton Coldfield, and possible queues back through the city centre tunnels.
Please allow extra time for your journey and consider whether you could travel a little earlier or later than usual, or find an alternative route.
Finally, a reminder that Paradise Circus is now closed to traffic to allow construction of the Metro extension to Centenary Square.
