Ashted Circus works 27 to 28 May 2018

Ashted Circus roundabout is undergoing works to become a crossroads, controlled with traffic signals.

Work will be taking place over the late May bank holiday weekend as part of the Ashted Circus improvement scheme. Ashted Circus roundabout forms part of the north east section of the Birmingham ring road (A4540).

  • From 6pm on Sunday 27 May until 6am on Monday 28 May additional overnight lane closures will be in place on approaches to the roundabout
  • New road markings and traffic signals will be installed
  • From the morning of 28 May onwards Ashted Circus will operate as a signalised junction (crossroads)

Pelican crossings will remain in place for pedestrians.

Please be reminded that Network Rail will be carrying out improvement works over the bank holiday weekend (26 to 28 May). Bus replacement services and diversions will be in place on some routes to and from Birmingham. Please plan ahead and leave extra time for your journey. Find out more and plan your journey by rail.

Several major events are also taking place over the bank holiday weekend, including Birmingham Pride and The Biggest Weekend (Coventry).
