Chris Naylor – ‘I just want to give a nod, to our IT provision. Never before has technology been so at the forefront of council life as it has become during the coronavirus pandemic. Various teams across the organisation are making the most of what’s available. Director for Adult Social Care, Graeme Betts, held a directorate-wide Teams Live engagement session recently for more than 200 colleagues and the feedback has been very positive, I hear. Indeed, I would really have struggled, especially over the last few weeks, without the flexibility that our IT has offered.

Janet Parks – ‘I would just like to thank Digital & Customer Services for donating and sorting the four laptops and software required for four vulnerable children I work with. A big thank you to Peter Bishop, Paul Busst, David Moorcroft, Philip West, Inderjit Kundhi and Joanne Podmore. I could not believe you managed to do this for me, and how quickly you came up with what you promised. Joanne Podmore, Business Support Manager is unbelievable and has helped me in her own time to get these and other items for less privileged children who live in South Birmingham, who did not meet the criteria for the new laptops donated by the Trust. I just wanted to thank you all for making this dream come true for these vulnerable children, Callum the older sibling can now he can get on with his college work like his peers and produce the good quality work he is capable of producing, without you guys this would not have been possible. Callum and I appreciate everything, thank you again.'
