Birmingham Young Poet Laureate 2011-12
Damani Dennisur is the seventh Young Poet Laureate for Birmingham.
14 year old Damani, from Holyhead School was one of more than 60 young people who applied to be our seventh Young Poet Laureate. The announcement was made on National Poetry Day, Thursday 6 October 2011.
Damani will be writing and performing poems throughout the year. You can read the four wonderful poems which Damani submitted when he applied for the post of Young Poet Laureate.
