Investing together for a brighter future
Our Vision
Birmingham’s vision is to transform teaching and learning in the city and ensure all schools are built for 21st century learning.
The council is planning to use £1billion of investment from the government to rebuild or refurbish all secondary schools over the next 15 years as part of the Transforming Education programme.
Birmingham’s Transforming Education programme aims to ensure that:
Almost every pupil will achieve recognisable qualifications
All children will learn the skills needed for their future life
Young people will be given the best possible employment opportunities
Adults and young people will be encouraged to continue learning
