With over a million people, over 400 schools and 180,000 pupils Birmingham is the largest urban local authority in the UK. We’re also one of the youngest, and one of the most diverse – both in the population we serve, and in the variety of our schools. In a city this size we face some pretty big challenges too, but we’re proud of our reputation for innovation and being at the cutting edge of education practice.
