  • ensuring that parents, carers, children, staff and volunteers are provided with clear procedures to voice their concerns or lodge complaints if they feel unsure or unhappy about anything

At all times the Sport,Events, Parks and Leisure Service will focus on promoting the safety and welfare of every person taking part in sport. We aim:

  • to create a healthy and safe environment at all activities, sport programmes and sessions, including private hire sessions
  • to ensure customers are listened to, and kept safe from harm
  • to support and encourage parents to voice their opinions and any concerns regarding the welfare of their children
  • to ensure staff and volunteers who administer sessions are well informed
  • to comply with best practice in Child Protection.
  • to comply with best practice in protection of adults at risk
