Apply for a resident parking permit

Subject to availability, residents living within a permit scheme area can apply for a permit provided they can prove they are a resident and have a vehicle registered where they live. There are limits on the number of permits you can have per household depending on the scheme.

You can apply online to:

  • get a new permit
  • change the vehicle registration number on your permit (£12.60)
  • get a replacement permit (£23.20 for lost or stolen permits)
  • cancel your permit

When completing your application you will need to provide:

  • payment by debit or credit card
  • proof that you’re the registered keeper (V5 log book)
  • proof of residency (for instance, a council tax or utility bill)

You can apply for, or renew your parking permit or season ticket online. You must be signed in to your BRUM account.
