Your wheelie bin for recycling has a blue lid.
Your recycling bin also includes a pod for paper and card. This keeps it separate from the other materials in the main body of the bin and helps us sort the different types of recycling. We will also collect neatly bundled cardboard left next to your recycling wheelie bin. We won't collect anything else left outside a wheelie bin.
If your property has not yet received a wheelie bin or is not suitable for a wheelie bin you can recycle by using blue and green recycling boxes. We are committed to increasing recycling across the city and there is no charge for ordering recycling bins or boxes. Order a 240 litre recycling wheelie bin(s), or blue/green boxes to your property.
You should put your recycling out at the front of your property between 3.30pm the day before your collection is due, and 6am on the day of your collection.
What you should put into your paper pod or blue box
Please use your paper pod for all types of paper and card, except: milk, juice and tetra pak cartons, padded envelopes, soiled paper or card such as greasy pizza boxes.

If you aren’t getting temporary password emails, it is likely that you don’t have an online account registered to the email address you’re trying. In this case, please register an online account before attempting to order your garden waste collection service for 2015. For a fuller explanation of how to get around problems accessing your online account, please visit our account help page.
If your wheelie bins or boxes are damaged or missing you can order new ones by going to our replacement bins page.
We offer an Assisted Collection Service for people who find it hard to put their rubbish out. Assisted collections take rubbish, recycling or garden waste from an agreed point at the front of the property and return the empty container back to that point. Visit the Assisted Collection Service page to find out if you are eligible to receive this free service.
We advise you to ensure that your wheelie bins are stored safely and securely wherever possible and to return the bins back to your property as soon as possible after each collection is made. We also strongly advise you to permanently mark your new bins with your house number/Postcode or other identification.
