Perry Barr Constituency LAA Delivery Plan 2008 - 9 The current ‘Birmingham’ Local Area Agreement (LAA) runs from 2008 to 2011, and its objective is to improve key outcomes for citizens within a local area by making better use of funding and by means of innovative service delivery and strengthened partnership working. Perry Barr Constituency was one of four constituencies that piloted a Constituency wide LAA in 2006/07 and it has continued to produce its own Perry Barr specific LAA delivery plan annually since then. The Perry Barr LAA is a locally determined document, approved by Perry Barr Constituency Strategic Partnership, that contributes to the Birmingham LAA as well as addresses other local Perry Barr specific priorities. Ther Perry Barr LAA priorities were approved by the Perry Barr Constituency Strategic Partnership at its meeting on 11th April 2008. There are four broad areas for which local priorities have been set. These priority themes are: Safer Stronger Communities, Healthier Communities and Older People, Children and Young People and Enterprise and Economic Development and the priorities for each theme are shown in the table below.
