Trusty Steeds sought for Pantomime Horse Grand National!
Birmingham’s seventh annual Thomas Vale Pantomime Horse Grand National.
The fun event helps to kick off the start of the pantomime season in a truly British style – in homage to the famous Grand National at Aintree. Last year’s fun event saw over 50 participants cheered on by the crowd as they raced around the course, which included jumps and obstacles, to raise money for charity. (Free to spectators).
Entrants will be required from 11:30am on the day until 3pm, with the winner of each race winning a bottle of champagne.
The entry fee is £50, which can be raised through sponsorship with all money going toward the Lord Mayor’s Charity appeal 2009/10.
The route will start on Broad Street outside the Hyatt hotel, run down to Oozells Street and then back up Broad Street to finish in Centenary Square. All contestants are invited to a reception following the event, to thank them for their involvement.
The closing date for entries is Monday 9th November, and entry forms can be downloaded from this page. You can also request a copy be sent to you by calling 0121 303 3008 or e-mailing rebecca.wilson@birmingham.gov.uk.
