Other events at the Old Rep include innovative theatre by The Young REP and local theatre in education companies. The theatre is available for hire. Conditions of hire and hire charges are contained in the attachments below. The Old Rep Theatre Birmingham was the first Theatre in England to be specifically designed for repertory. From 1913-1971 the theatre was home to Birmingham Repertory Company, led by Sir Barry Jackson, who staged numerous prestigious productions, many of which have been landmarks in theatre history.
