Ever been to a concert and wondered where the performers got all their music from ?
The Music Library supports live music making in Birmingham and the surrounding area by making available sets of parts or vocal scores for:

Please note - Direct loans are only available to organisations that rehearse in the West Midlands or immediately adjacent counties.
Making music with an orchestra, a choir, or for the stage is an expensive affair, with the cost of performance material an important factor. We have thousands of sets of music for orchestral and choral groups to use.
If we don't hold a piece ourselves (or don't have enough copies) we can usually supply the items via the national network of inter-library loans.
We've got music for amateur and professional, young and old. For singers and choirs there are thousands of music sets for loan, including vocal scores of anything from 'Les Miserables' to 'Messiah', and a large selection of music to suit smaller groups, such as partsongs and madrigals.
For orchestras there is a wide range of classical and modern music for all levels of ability, covering full, string, wind and school orchestras. We can help your music group.
We have specialist staff with in-depth knowledge who can answer your enquiries in person, by telephone, fax, e-mail or letter. Go to the main Music Library page for details.
The Brass Ensemble categories is not yet available on our web pages, but are listed either in the online catalogue or in the card catalogue in the Music Library.
A national catalogue of vocal and orchestral music available in sets from libraries is available at Encore!
