Birmingham is an ever-changing city. The City Centre is being transformed, and many local neighbourhoods have plans and proposals for new development and regeneration to improve the environment and facilities for the whole community.

- The regeneration of local shopping centres at the heart of most city communities through the preparation of Local Action Plans.
- Improving housing conditions, local facilities and the environment of whole areas through a series of estate and area regeneration initiatives and plans.
- The preparation of planning and design guidance for promoting and guiding redevelopment of specific buildings and sites.
- The continued development of the City Centre and other Major Developments across Birmingham.
