Local Heart Awards 2009

Celebrating Birmingham’s Local Hearts

Do you know anyone with a big heart who devotes time to making Birmingham a better place, or has made a difference in your local community?

If you do, then we want to know about it!

Birmingham City Council is now looking for nominations for the Birmingham Local Hearts Awards 2009. The awards are to recognise the exceptional contributions made by local citizens in the community. Anyone can nominate individuals, groups, organizations, and clubs who have made a difference.

The awards will recognise individuals and groups for their volunteering achievements and contributions that have made a positive difference to their communities. (We want to make sure that the people who do stand out get the recognition that they deserve).

By honouring the local people and groups who have made a difference, we can encourage others to do the same – and together we can have a huge impact right across the city.
