Probably the most picturesque golf course in the Midlands situated on the dramatic slopes of Lickey Hills Country Park. Huge banks of pine trees tower above the seventh and ninth holes and the course enjoys the sort of setting usually reserved for the most exclusive of clubs.
Opened in 1921, the course offers a true test of your golfing ability. The first hole is testing, restricting the bold player to a five-wood or three-iron first shot. You are then left with a long approach shot which requires accuracy as you have to negotiate a ditch 30 yards from the flag. The long 222 yards par three sixth is probably the most difficult; accuracy is required to cross a stream onto a small green. Most players have to take a long iron or wood. On a summer's day the course is golfing paradise.
