Regenerating the Jewellery Quarter
The main objective of the Jewellery Quarter Regeneration Partnership is to
drive forward regeneration plans for the area.
A Charter for Renaissance, attachment below,
sets out how the vision of the Partnership will be achieved, through
creating : - a dynamic business environment - quality buildings
and places - excellent transport links, signage and connections -
a sustainable quarter - a unique visitor destination - a genuine
partnership

"By 2010, the Jewellary Quater (JQ) will be acknowledged as the City
Region’s Creative Village, an asset to both Birmingham and the West
Midlands. A truly unique area where design quality is an integral
feature of its renaissance. A Quarter with a vibrant atmosphere which
not only attracts people to work, live, play and visit but acts as a
honey pot for creative businesses ranging from the current jewellery
business base to arts and media".
Currently to create a better parking system a
controlled parking zone (cpz) consultation is being carried out within the
Jewellery quarter to establish need.
