Birmingham Home Match

Birmingham Home Match is a scheme to help families with children find a home with a private landlord (not from the council or a housing association).

We work with a large number of landlords and we know that paying a deposit can be difficult, so we can provide help with this.

No Birmingham Home Match rents exceed the Local Housing Allowance, making them affordable to anyone who is eligible for Housing Benefit.

When you join our scheme, we will tell you what kind of properties we can help you to find. We then work with our landlords to find a suitable property for you. We arrange for you to view the property and, if you like it, we will arrange for you to become the tenant.

Our landlords are willing to take tenants without a deposit for a period of time (a minimum of six months). During this period we can help you to save towards the deposit so that you can remain in your new home.
