Birmingham City Centre Floral Trail 2011

The Birmingham City Centre Partnership aims to create a city centre for Birmingham that is of a global standard. The Floral Trail helps us to achieve this objective and we are very proud to support this year’s Birmingham City Centre Floral Trail.

A section of the trail is included in Birmingham City Council’s entry in to the Heart of England in Bloom competition which will be judged on 21st July. Birmingham’s 2010 entry won a Gold Medal and the Large City category.

From the Mailbox to the Cathedral, taking in Broad Street and the Retail area, the City Centre is adorned with floral features and displays along the two mile Floral Trail Route. Weather permitting the Floral Trail will be maintained until mid to late September.

Details of the City Centre Floral Trail for 2011 are available below or from the Tourist Information centre.

Features to enjoy include the stunning Plight of the Gorilla in Centenary Square which picked up silver at this year’s Chelsea Flower show and a gold medal at Gardeners World. The Chinook Helicopter in Victoria Square formed part of Birmingham’s winning display at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2010.
