Two-week Course:

The mix of nationalities is great: it is the first time I have ever felt truly European.Tired of the usual English Language course?

From an initiative of Birmingham City Council in 2000, the European Summer University has developed into a distinctive and sought after study programme. It is now one of a family of specialist training programmes offered by the renowned College for International Citizenship which is based in the City.

Looking for an opportunity for professional development or Lifelong learning? Have you considered a language programme that challenges you and offers ‘hands-on’ practical language learning with workshops and study visits in a university and big City environment?

Then Birmingham’s European Summer University (ESU) is for you!

ESU is more than simply a language course!!!

ESU is a unique opportunity to improve your English Language skills, bring your knowledge and thinking up-to-date in your area of special interest through expert-led modules and have fun with like-minded people from many different countries, backgrounds and cultures!

Add to this a lively social programme, self-catered accommodation in the city centre, free travel around the city and you have a recipe for successful and stimulating language learning .
