Design Space

A new incubator support programme designed for start-up jewellery designer/maker businesses

Are you a jewellery designer/maker wanting to start up a business in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter? If so, you may be interested in the Design Space Programme. Limited spaces available, please apply now.

In April 2009, the current Design Space participants exhibited their work at the British Craft Fair held at Harrogate. The Design Space stand proved to be a great success, with Sarah Kelly's Saloukee range winning an Innovation Award from the British Jewellery Association.

The scheme will provide shared incubation space and facilities for up to 20 creatives who are committed to starting up a design led business.

The incubator unit will provide you with the following:

  • Free access to shared incubation space for up to 12 months to run your business from
  • A fully serviced environment (ie workshop facilities/studio space/IT equipment/showcase and meeting area)
  • In-house mentoring
  • A package of sector specific business development support
  • Clustering/networking opportunities

In return, we ask only that you commit to self employment.

Interested? Then why not register your interest by completing an Incubator Scheme enquiry form attached below and you will be contacted.
