Welcome to Yardley - Neighbourhood Policing
The team currently consists of Sergeant Randall and 7 police constables; PC Joel Ellis, PC Matt Kay, PC Lindsey Betteridge, PC Gareth Taylor, PC Laura Howes, PC Neal Marsh and PC Samantha Richards. The teams aim is to deliver local policing services for the benefit of local people. This means listening to people about issues that matter to them, and taking action to address them.
To do this effectively, the Police Neighbourhood Team doesnt just work by itself, but co-operates closely with other agencies to provide more effective solutions. They work with partners such as the Council Housing Department, the Birmingham Anti-Social Behaviour Unit and Trading Standards to tackle a number of problems, such as nuisance neighbours, graffiti, drug-dealing and anti-social behaviour.
Later in the year the team will benefit from the addition of 2 Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) who will provide a reassuring presence in areas such as The Poolway, The Wells Green Shopping Centre and The Swan Shopping Centre.
The team needs the support and co-operation of the local community to make Neighbourhood Policing a success, so if you have an issue that you would like to bring to their attention please contact them in one of the following ways.
