Faulty Street Lighting
You can help us by reporting faulty street lights.
Why do we need street lighting?
Street lighting is important to us all. It helps pedestrians, cyclists and vehicle drivers avoid road traffic accidents at night. It deters vandals and criminals and makes the environment safer for ourselves and our property.
We refer to street lighting as the lighting on all roads - main roads, side roads, residential roads, city centre squares, footpaths, tunnels and subways. The lights can vary in height from small side road ones to tall high masts at main junctions.
We recently held a city-wide survey to gauge opinion on how well residents feel we manage our street lighting; on the whole people a very satisfied, and you can read the full detail of the results here.
