Work experience scheme
The scheme is open to all year 10 and 11 students who attend Birmingham schools and are interested in one of the areas we operate in - architecture, building surveying, electrical and mechanical engineering, quantity surveying and admin support. Students can make individual requests to take part and are interviewed as part of the scheme, which helps them to develop interview skills.
Students are given their own projects to work on, as well as helping Urban Design on current projects. They can use office facilities, including computer-aided design packages, to help them - some even produce 3D models. As well as office-based work, students go out on site to visit projects in progress.
