The stall is offered free to charities and community projects. We operate a bookable diary system and the stall may be requested for a single day, a whole week or a series of days (eg 3 Fridays or 2 Saturdays).
The Market Trading days are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and the stall is available for use between 9am and 5pm.
The stall may be utilised for display purposes, leaflet distribution and also the sale of charity branded goods. Please advise us in advance and clearly state the items to be sold as we can only authorise the sale of goods in accordance with the Market Rules, Regulations and Policies.
All requests to utilise the stall must be made in writing on your charity headed notepaper, with your registered charity number. We can book the stall at short notice, subject to availability or you can plan ahead. You may of course telephone us prior to writing in order to check availability of the stall.
Unfortunately, the Markets Department does not have any parking facilities, however there are numerous car parks within the vicinity of the Markets. Vehicles may utilise the Markets loading bay area up to 1000 hours and from 1630 hours. This is situated at the bottom of Gloucester Street (off Upper Dean Street) between the Open Market and Rag Market buildings. Please note that this area is very busy and consideration must be shown to other traders. It may be useful to bring a wheeled trolley to assist with the carriage of your equipment from your vehicle to the stall.
It is a condition that all organisations utilising the stall are covered by Third Party Public Liability Insurance. The Markets Department must have a copy of the policy, together with a letter confirming that the cover extends to include your organisation whilst on the stand in the Market.
