We often carry out studies of various different uses of land within the city. This enables us to identify surpluses and shortfalls, which in turn helps us to plan for the future in our Planning Policy documents.

Waste Capacity Study - 2010 - This study established the need and capacity for waste management facilities in the City.

Index of Multiple Deprivation - 2010 - The latest analysis of levels of deprivation in the city are captured in this report.

Types of Residential Areas in Birmingham - 2008 - This report contains an analysis of the City's residential areas in terms of the ACORN classification of neighbourhood types.

Shopping In Birmingham - 2004 - This is a snapshot report of retail trade at our main shopping locations within the city and is based on a survey of residents and those from surrounding areas.
