Main Hall

The centre's main hall is suitable for large events such as weddings, family parties, craft fairs, tea dances and children's activity sessions. This is the largest room in the building, providing 2451 sq feet of space and can be subdivided by a sliding room divider into two smaller sections. By using the divider the room can be split roughly into two thirds and one third.

Room 1 Mere Green Community Centre

This room, boasting 1040 sq ft is used for parent and toddler sessions, yoga groups, keep fit and children's dance classes. It is an excellent room for meetings and children parties.



Room 2 Mere Green Community Centre

This good sized carpeted room (752.4 sq ft) is mainly used by special interest groups. It is the venue for the Townswomens Guild and bridge Sessions and is also cleared for pilate classes.




Room 3 at Mere Green Community Centre

Room 3

This room offers 1411 sq ft of space and is used every weekday morning and two afternoon sessions by the playgroup. In the afternoons and evenings the room is used for dance and yoga sessions. Again this is a superb room for children's parties.




Room 4 Mere Green Community Centre

Room 4

This is the smallest of all the rooms providing 659 sq ft of space. Offering comfortable accommodation, the room is carpeted and suitable for tutor groups such as art or language classes and meetings.


Bowls Room

Bowls Room

The largest of the carpeted rooms offering 879 sq ft of space, the Bowls Room is located at the rear of the building and connects to the associated bowling green. The three resident bowling groups of Four Oaks Ladies, Leyhill Mens and Mere Green Bowlers have priority use of this facility throughout the months of April until October inclusive. At all other times, the room makes a very appropriate venue for large meetings and seminars.

Outdoor sporting facilities at Mere Green

In addition to the good range of accommodation offered at the Community Centre, the following outdoor sporting facilities are available:

Multi-use Games Area
Two tennis courts
Bowling Green


Multi-Use Gaming Area at Mere Green Community Centre

The Multi-Use Games Area, ideal for basketball, netball, 5-a-side football or for general play is available free of charge unless sole use is required - please ask at reception for details.

The tennis courts are available for hire on a pay-and-play basis.

An outdoor children's play area is also located to the side of the centre and is available at any reasonable time free of charge.
