Activities and Events

This page sets out details of events and activities to encourage you to get back on your bike. Why not try an organised ride or one of the activities?

Organised Rides

Your bike is not just for helping you get around, it's for having fun too! What better way to have fun on your bike than to take part in an organised bike ride.

During the closure of the A38 tunnels from August 19th - 3rd September 2013, a series of led rides into and out of the city centre have been organised. To take part in the next one on Friday 16th August, just turn up on your bike.

Birmingham Sky Ride Local

Sky Ride Local rides are free, small group bike rides for you and your friends and family. Rides start in early April 2013 and run until October 2013 taking in many different routes in and around Birmingham.

Rides are led by a British Cycling trained ride leader who is on hand to provide support and give you a few tips, whatever your age or cycling ability. Distances vary from 3-4 mile traffic-free routes up to 30 mile rides on quieter roads . With a Ride for Rewards scheme, kids can get some exciting gifts for joining in 1, 2 and 3 rides. 2013 promises to be a great year for cycling in Birmingham and Britain and everyone's invited.
