Social Cohesion & Community Safety O&S Committee, Tuesday 8th July 2014 – 2.00 pm, Committee Rooms 6, The Council House

In the first formal Committee meeting of the municipal year Members having will be considering a summary report of the discussion on Neighbourhood Tasking that took place at their last meeting. The Committee will also be receiving a briefing on Welfare Reform from Chris Gibbs, the City Council’s Assistant Director for Revenues and Benefits.

Governance, Resources and Customer Services O&S Committee, Friday 4 July at 10.00am in Committee Room 6, Council House

In its first meeting of the municipal year, the Committee will receive a progress report on implementation of the recommendations of the scrutiny inquiry on Children and Families with No Recourse to Public Funds. Members will also receive a report on key information and findings from the first year of the Birmingham Council Tax Support Scheme and an update on the Contact Centre.

Education and Vulnerable Children O&S Committee-2.30pm 25 June 2014, Cm Rm 3/4, Council House

At its first meeting of the new municipal year, the committee will be receiving a report on the Children's Social Care Improvement Plan.

In the light of the recent report published by Ofsted, there will also be discussion on governance and leadership in Birminghams schools.
