The following Calls for Evidence have been launched...
The Districts and Public Engagement O&S Committee is conducting an inquiry into how the City Council should engage with its citizens.
The Social Cohesion O&S Committee is conducting an inquiry exploring the issues around identifying and reducing the number of people with Mental Health issues entering the criminal justice system.
Partnerships, Contract Performance and Third Sector O&S Committe- Monday 16th December 2013 – 10.00 am
Following on from the November meeting where Members received briefings on a number of housing related issues the Committee will start evidence for their Inquiry looking into how the City Council is working in partnership with Housing Associations in the City.
This meeting will be the first of two dedicated meetings hearing from City Council officers and partners on key issues.
Education and Vulnerable Children O&S Committee, Wednesday 11th December 2013-2.00pm
The Committee will receive an update on the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Strategy. Members will also receive a briefing on the Education Development Plan.
Social Cohesion & Community Safety O&S Committee, Tuesday 10th December 2013 – 2.00 pm
The Committee will receive an update on the work of the Welfare Reform Multi-Agency Committee and what work the Executive is doing following concerns raised by the Social Cohesion & Community Safety Committee to the Cabinet Member last year. Members will also receive a briefing from the Birmingham Community Safety Partnership on local crime statistics and the comparative with core cities.
