Access to Education (A2E): Pupil and School Support
Cognition and Learning (Pupil and School Support)
Pupil and School Support is a team within Access to Education (A2E).
A2E works in homes and educational settings to support children, young people and their families. Our holistic approach enables participation, engagement, inclusion and equality of access. As an integrated organisation, we bring six services into one team. Unity, collaboration and shared understanding surround us, putting children and young people and their families at the centre of everything we do.
Pupil and School Support works with schools to help pupils with cognition and learning difficulties progress and achieve to the best of their abilities. Following an assessment of pupil needs, we support schools through training and modelling to build both their capacity and their ability to provide access to the curriculum and appropriate support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN). PSS works with schools to support their development of SEN policies and procedures and to assist them in the identification of successful provision to match the needs of all their pupils. We advise and suggest actions to support schools to deliver quality SEN provision.
