Jewellery Quarter Urban Village Framework (SPG)
The Jewellery Quarter is a unique and special part of Birmingham. Dating largely from the Victorian period it contains a dense pattern of urban streets and spaces from which the City's manufacturing base has grown.
The Jewellery Quarter Urban Village Framework seeks to coordinate the renewed interest in business, workspace and particularly residential development in the area, so that these combined uses can be harnessed to ensure that a sustainable pattern of development is achieved to secure the long term regeneration of the Quarter and its continued contribution to the city as a whole.
