Please Note : This document has now been revoked and is no longer in use

The Jewellery Quarter is a unique and special part of Birmingham. Dating largely from the Victorian period it contains a dense pattern of urban streets and spaces from which the City's manufacturing base has grown.

The Jewellery Quarter Urban Village Framework sought to coordinate the renewed interest in business, workspace and particularly residential development in the area, so that these combined uses could be harnessed to ensure a sustainable pattern of development was achieved to secure the long term regeneration of the Quarter and its continued contribution to the city as a whole.

Having achieved most of its aims, the document has now been revoked.

A copy of the Framework is below. Find out more about the Jewellery Quarter Conservation Area and its boundary here.
