The Bordesley Park Area Action Plan will guide the development and regeneration of the area to the east of the city centre, including Washwood Heath, Bordesley Green, Bordesley Village and Small Heath, over the next 18 years.
The current stage of the plan – the Preferred Options Report – was recently prepared for public consultation, which ended on 28th October 2013.
This document sets out the favoured way forward for the area, and reflects comments received during previous rounds of consultation and well as work that has been done to develop proposals in more detail.
The Preferred Options document and comments that were received on the consultation portal can be viewed below.
We will now carefully consider all comments that have been received during the consultation period. The Preferred Option Report will be amended where appropriate and a ‘pre-submission’ document will be prepared.
This will again be subject to another round of public consultation for further opportunity to express your views, before being submitted to the government for examination early next year.
Adoption of the plan is then expected following independent examination towards the end of 2014.
A pdf version of the Preferred Options Report is below along with a map showing the area covered by the plan.
