Councillor Keith Linnecor - Oscott Ward - My News
Amongst other many things I am currently campaigning with local residents to have a number of roads considered for road safety improvements.
Along with my colleague, Councillor Barbara Dring, I am also working with the Police and Community Groups to try to stop Anti Social Behaviour in the Oscott Area.
I work closely with a number of Elderly and disabled groups trying to ensure their views and needs are not forgotten.
These are just some of the Roles I am undertaking at the moment:-
Chairman of the Oscott Ward Advisory Board. This is where Community Groups, and various Agencies such as the Police work together to improve the Oscott area and recommend suitable funding bids to the Oscott Ward Committee.
I am also a member of the Oscott Neighbourhood Tasking Group, the Kingstanding Neighbourhood Police Initiative, The Neighbourhood Watch, and I am a School Governor at Goodway Nursery and Great Barr Junior and Infant School.
I am the Chairman the Friends of the Queslett Nature Reserve which not only looks after the interest of that reserve but also the Aldridge Road Recreation Ground and other open spaces in the area.
On the Council I am currently a member of the Planning Committee, where I have a particular interest in the Environment, and I am a representative on the West Midlands Integrated Transport Authority.
Together we can make Oscott Ward a better place to live. If you have anything you wish to discuss/issues I can help you with, within the Oscott Ward, please do not hesitate to contact me, I never make promises, but I will do my best to help: Keith.Linnecor@birmingham.gov.uk or visit one of my Advice Bureaux.
