FEES AND CHARGES EFFECTIVE FROM 01 APRIL 2013 TO 31 MARCH 2014

* The cost of an independent vet required to be used by the Council as part of the application process will be charged to the applicant as an additional fee.

Licences for Pet Shops, Animal Boarding Establishments and Dangerous Wild Animals all have a renewal date of 31 December.

**Costs for periodic inspections required to be carried out by the Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State are charged to the applicant as an additional fee.

*** Where a premises needs to hold a combination of sex shop, sex cinema or sexual entertainment venue licences a 25% discount applies.

Refund Policy in respect of Sex Establishments
Grant applications considered by the Licensing Committee and subsequently refused - 50% of the fee is refundable. Grant applications withdrawn prior to the hearing – a discretionary refund is payable dependent on the level of work undertaken.

An uncontested renewal application withdrawn before a licence is issued – 90% of fee is refundable. A contested renewal application withdrawn or refused – a discretionary refund is payable dependent on the level of work undertaken.

Refund Policy in respect of all other fees listed above
Any application withdrawn prior to a licence being granted or renewed then 50% of the application fee will be refunded. No refund is payable for those applications refused following a hearing by the Licensing Committee.
