Mobile Library Service Reading Group
Every year the Mobile Library Service organises an Adult Reading Group. Books are selected each year by Jackie and Nicky around March/April; and the Reading Group is launched not long after Easter time. Jackie and Nicky co-ordinate the books and group - making sure that everyone gets their books at the library stop they visit. There is only one meeting and this occurs around November. The group is invited to meet and chat to each other about the books they read, asked for thoughts on what to read next and so on. As an added bonus, there is also a guest speaker. This year, 2011 the meeting is in September due guest speaker commitments.
All Reading Group members fill out a Review Sheet for each book and these are then typed up ready for the Annual Meeting. Due to the volume of writing involved, the reviews are sumerised and copies of these are produced as 'Snaphot Reviews'. The Snapshot Reviews from 2009 onwards can be found below. Full copies of the reviews are only available on request to the Mobile Library Service.

Please contact the Mobile Library Service and ask for Jackie or Nicky if you would like to join the Reading Group. It is expected though, that you will be a regular visitor of the Mobile Library Service at one of its timetabled stops.
