Community Library Work Clubs

Work Clubs are a free service to help unemployed people get back into work, and support those looking for their first job.

The two-hour sessions, often run in partnership with other agencies, provide self help resources that include CV writing, interview techniques, volunteering opportunities and online application forms, as well as providing computer access in order to search for vacancies and improve your basic IT skills.

They also give job hunters the chance to meet others looking for work, build new contacts and share experiences.

Library staff can help signpost customers to other services that cannot be supplied on site, including skills and job search courses.

There are a number of Library Work Clubs across Birmingham.

Individuals are always welcome to use free library resources to improve their work opportunities on a daily drop in basis.
